Account Manager Job Details

Required Qualifications: BA degree

Top Position is seeking experienced search marketing managers based in our San Francisco office. This is a dynamic position – initiative and flexibility are essential. Team work is vital but you will be expected to take responsibility for your own clients and your own work.

Duties are varied and will include managing pay per click advertising accounts for a diverse client portfolio across the major paid search platforms. You will join an international team of search specialists and be both knowledgeable and enthusiastic about search marketing.

As an account manager, you will be tasked with optimising AdWords, Yahoo and MSN pay per click accounts in accordance with client advertising objectives. As their primary point of contact, you will implement, manage and analyse their search marketing campaigns. Common tasks include adding keywords to the account, writing brief, targeted advert text and managing the stipulated budget. You will work closely with the client and the search engines to provide a high level of customer service and good return on investment for the client.

Search marketing managers will understand advanced targeting, tracking and analysis features and be able to translate them into the client’s language. Driving their ROI, responsibilities will include introducing new campaigns and micro campaigns and monitoring the performance of these new functions.

You will produce and help the client decipher performance reports and are expected to look at client accounts on a regular basis and assess their performance – is the client receiving value for money? Can we make their campaign run better? Do they have special offers which could be include in the advertising to increase sales leads? Are they making the most of the multiple new media ad formats?

First class time management skills are essential. You will be called open to create new accounts and campaigns for clients, often working to strict deadlines. This will mean planning and deciding on account infrastructure, creating ad groups and introducing key terms.

You will also develop strong relationships with clients, ensure accurate tracking of sales and provide detailed client-facing reporting on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis.

As a Top Position account manager, you are expected to have an excellent telephone manner. You must also be organised and efficient.

Full training will be given although applicants must have a working knowledge of MS Office packages and internet knowledge.
