Find out more about the AdWords Search Volume Tool
Although only an approximation of the search volume, the data provides a more detailed snap shot of the popularity of keywords under consideration than was previously available via the Keyword Tool. On their official blog, AdWords technicians suggest that the new search volume data will be useful for advertisers in a number of ways. Their first recommendation is to use the information to create small ad groups of high traffic terms, linked of course to detailed landing pages and closely targeted advert text. Search volume data can also help with budgetary planning and budget allocation. Keyword selection can also benefit from search volume knowledge as advertisers become better places to select words and phrases most closely aligned with their budget restrictions and CPA targets. Along with the new search volume metric, the AdWords Keyword Tool also provides advertiser competition insights, approximate positioning and estimated cost per click pricing. |
