Pay per click agency Top Position has seen off a number of rival proposals to be awarded a large AdWords management account for a UK-based leisure retailer. The winning pitch was conducted by the London firm’s paid search team and overseen by director Daniel Jupp. Beating off challenges from the outgoing incumbent agency and three other consultancies, the agreement will see Top Position take the helm of the £50,000 account.

Mr Jupp said, “We’re delighted to have won the five-way pitch for this account and eagerly anticipating getting to grips with the campaign. With summer well under way now, we’re going to hit the ground running with a number of micro campaigns across the entire brand portfolio. We look forward to rolling out the ideas that cemented this deal in the next few weeks.”

Having successfully pitched for the business, the Top Position AdWords team has been applauded for their insight into the competitive vertical. Campaign strategies and focuses for the new account include landing page optimisation, a complete restructure of bid management strategies, viral inspired content network campaigns and the introduction of dynamic multimedia content ads.

The awarding company, who did not wish to be named in order to maintain their competitive advantage, have headquarters in the North of England with local offices and retail outlets throughout Great Britain. Their £50,000 budget will be used exclusively on the AdWords network, although talks are also underway to introduce a second PPC campaign on search engines Yahoo and MSN. A MIVA campaign is also under consideration.

The account will be managed from Top Position’s London base
