Its annual research has revealed that internet users rank Google number one for client satisfaction with rival Yahoo slipping one place to two. More about Search Engine User Survey
With a impressive 87 out of 100 score based on questions put to thousands of recipients, Google posted one of the best scores ever recorded by the survey. It pulled out a 10% improvement on last year’s remarks, listening to user feedback to provide a better search experience. The search portal survey found Yahoo had moved the other way with an almost 3% decline in satisfaction ratings. The fall in customer satisfaction comes on the back of a transition period for the search engine with focus on fighting off a Microsoft takeover bid rather than trailblazing new search products. While Yahoo has been fire fighting, Google has developed its search offering, leading to more personalised search results. In third and fourth place, Microsoft and Ask.com posted unremarkable offerings with neither showing any improvement on the previous 12 months’ performance. AOL showed in fourth place with a 3% improvement. pay per click search engine optimisation |
