Posted by: Rebecca on 22nd Sep 2008 Top Position’s head of search engine optimisation has been recruited to write a weekly column for leading US industry publication, The Search Marketing Standard. More about SEO articles
The regular feature will appear on the magazine’s web site with a new aspect of SEO discussed each week. Based on experiences with Top Position’s SEO clients and following several years in the industry, the articles provide an informative, easily accessible approach to SEO for new and intermediate optimisers. Two article’s have so far appeared online. The launch piece looked at the use of optimised press releases as part of an SEO campaign, touching on creation of content and distribution of the finished piece for link building purposes. “As an integral part of Top Position’s optimisation packages, the PR angle is one that is of particular interest. We’ve found that it is a multi-beneficial approach as it not only provides optimised content but is a great way of building online brand awareness and attracting those all important link backs,” said Rebecca Appleton. The second piece to appear tackled the tricky question of whether or not it is possible to carry out optimisation related activities that really make a difference in just 30 short minutes a day. A quarterly magazine for small and medium sized businesses, the Search Marketing Standard is filled with tips, interviews and articles from industry experts on everything from general SEO and PPC to social media, video search and accessibility.
